We are not COBRA. For specific contract details about your current company policy, contact your health plan administrator.
COBRA requires an employer to give notice within the 180 days prior to the termination of COBRA if the availabilty of conversion to an individual policy is an option. My employer not only didn't give me notice but retroactively cancelled my coverage after accepting and cashing a check for what would have been the 19th month of coverage.
How hard is it to collect the $110/day I am due. Can this be done in a small claims court setting and without legal representation? I found myself without health care coverage for 1 month but fortunately had no medical emergencies during that time.
