I am retiring from the Chicago Public Schools in June, 2004. Right now I am on the Blue Cross Blue Choice Plan but the Chicago Public Schools will not be offering Blue Choice after July 1. Tey are offering instead plans that have fewer options or have higher deductables than Blue Choice. My question is can I request, under the COBRA regulations, to continue Blue Choice when I retire? The Blue Choice Plan is being offered to other organizations. Thank you
