question about pregnancy
My husband recently left his job which provided health care. When he left I was 7 months pregnant. We signed up for Cobra and have been paying for it for three months. I gave birth to twins and the delivery was covered by Cobra but after coming home from the hospital one of the infants became sick and had to be admitted to the hospital. We tried to add the child to our Cobra policy but they said we can't because with Cobra they only can cover the existing people on the policy at the time of enrollment. Is this correct, or because I was pregnant when we enrolled would the children be covered?
