I am a Cobra Administrator out of Minnesota. One of my clients has a COBRA participant on their Virgina based group plan. His qualifying event was a loss of dependent status. Federal law would allow him 36 months of COBRA Continuation. If state rules in this case, how long can he remain on COBRA?
