I was scheduled to have a colonoscopy on January 30, 2004 and was informed by my doctors office on January 29 that my insurance had been cancelled on December 1, 2003. I called my insurance company and was advised that the complany policy was cancelled two months earlier because my employer failed to pay the premiums, even though he was still deducting the premiums from employees pay checks. He has now finally reimbursed my premiums, however, I was curious to know if there is any legal recourse for failing to notify employees of the cancellation of insurance and deducting premiums from employees' checks and not paying the company premium.
