While only a few months into Cobra, my wife applied for private insurance. Once her application was accepted, she withdrew from the Cobra plan and enrolled in the new plan. About 6 months later, she was told her insurance was being cancelled because the insurance company had received medical records that they claim indicate an undisclosed pre-existing condition. We are in the process of reviewing and correcting those medical records, because we believe we did disclose her history to the best of our knowledge. My question is, can coverage be withdrawn for pre-existing conditions in this way?
