The type of plan will determine how your move affects your coverage. Is is an HMO, or a PPO?

If the coverage you have is region specific with no coverage outside of the area, I believe they do not have to allow you to stay on, but I could be wrong about that. If it is region-specific and your employer offers another plan that isn't, then they would have to allow you to switch plans so that some coverage would be available to you.

It's possible that you will be outside of the provider network, in which case all of your treatment would be at the out-of-network rates, if they have them.

It's hard to say more without knowing what kind of plan it is.
