I was recently terminated from my job and I had a flexible spending account when I was working there. I just made a claim and they rejected it because they said I only have a certain amount of time to submit a claim after I'm fired. Can they do this? I thought I could get my full election as long as the claim happened while I was working there. They say if I had made the claim within 15 days it would have been fine, but since it's been 3 weeks I can't do it.
