Hello,

On May 3rd 2004 my wife was put out on workmen's comp due to a torn rotator cuff. her company allowed her to continue with their insurance in May and June, however we received a notice that effective July 1st she is being put on Cobra. The premium is $238 more a month than her company insurance. The employer only pays $144 a month towards it.

It seems as though this is very high. She has also not been terminated, and is still an employee. If she is still an employee and all employees have the right to obtain medical insurance, is this aganist the law for her company to terminate her?

Thanks
