If a dependent child is on COBRA (parent is the Employee and the child is not a full time student - therefore they elected COBRA), becomes pregnant, how is it handled? The Plan does NOT cover dependent pregnancy. The COBRA person is the dependent and now pregnant.
1. Continue to deny the pregnancy because language states "pregnancy for employee and spouse only"?
2. Can she add the baby to her plan once the child is born? We do not add babies born to dependent children to the Employees coverage.
