COBRA as a supplement to Medicare?

I retired from a major steel company in 2000 at age 59. Shortly thereafter the company went bankrupt and terminated my healthcare coverage. Since then I have had COBRA coverage under the successors of the company, with 65% of the premium paid by HCTC. I am now approaching age 65 and will soon become eligible for Medicare. I know that I will no longer be eligible for the HCTC, but my question is whether I will be able to retain the COBRA coverage, or some portion of it, as a supplement to Medicare.
