No cobra notice received
Folowing the death of my retired father in mid Sept, I notified his health administrator and they did my mother was not elgible for regular medical coverage and her coverage would cease as of Oct1, because he has not elected her to receive a portion of his pension benefits but she was elgible for COBRA. I follow up on a regular basis and the employer keeps extending her coverage and saying the COBRA notice is in the mail. This is saving her money but is causing her mental anguish. Is there any legal way to apply pressure to get the ball rolling?
